Skoda seems to have managed the impossible with the Superb's cabin, increasing passenger space (as if it needed more) within a shorter wheelbase.

The overall length has been increased to the point where the Superb now makes a Ford Mondeo appear almost stunted, but one advantage is that luggage capacity has risen by nearly a quarter.

With the rear seats down, the cargo area looks more like the hold of a container ship than the boot of a car.
