It's the time of the year when we announce our latest Car of the Year winners. We thought we'd take a look back through our classifieds and see what our past winners are going for on the used market.
There are plenty of good value cars to be had. If you're after a second-hand car that's still one of the best on the road, take a look at our picks below.
What Car? Car of the Year 2013 was the Audi A3 Sportback. It's refined and stylish and has an interior that is miles ahead of the competition in terms of design and quality. The A3 has been on sale for a year now, so models are starting to appear on the used market. We found this 2.0 TDI SE with just 8800 miles on the clock on sale for £20,990.
The Volkswagen Up is still one of the classiest city cars available; it's also cheap to run and good to drive. It was our Car of the Year in 2012. Prices for used models now start at £6490. We found this 2013 1.0 Take Up model that's done 4925 miles for £6989.
The Audi A1 was Car of the Year 2011. It's the smallest car in the Audi range but still has all the desirable characteristics of the premium brand. Early cars are available from £11,450. This 2011 low-mileage 1.4 TFSI Sport, our preferred trim, is on sale for £13,745.
The Peugeot 3008 won the Car of the Year award in 2010. The practical and spacious SUV is well equipped and comfortable. You can buy an early car for around £7300. We found this 1.6 HDI Sport that's done 25,000 miles for £7988.
Britain's perennial best-seller, the Ford Fiesta, was our Car of the Year 2009 and scooped Supermini of the Year in 2013. It is much better to drive than the competition and is fantastic value for money. You can find early Fiestas for sale for just under £5000. This 2010 1.2-litre Zetec model has 26,000 miles on the clock and is yours for £6482.
