Vauxhall plans surprise for Frankfurt

Vauxhall will unveil an 'experimental vehicle' at the Frankfurt motor show.

Few details have been released, but Vauxhall promises that it will 'emphasise the companys passion for driver-focused vehicles'. Its unclear whether it will be a pure concept car, or whether it will form the basis of a future model.

The Astra GTCand Zafira Tourer will be the other two highlights of Vauxhalls Frankfurt display.

Weve already driven the Astra GTC a sporty three-door version of the Astra hatchback which is due on sale in late 2011.

The Zafira Tourer is a large seven-seat MPV that will join the range above the current Zafira. It will rival the Ford S-Max and Seat Alhambra and is due to go on sale in early 2012.

The production version of the range-extender Ampera will also be at the show.
