Vote for your Garage of the year

Car owners whove enjoyed top-class service from their local garage can vote for them in a national competition to find the UKs best car service and repair workshops.

The Garage of the Year competition is run by the Government-approved Motor Codes garage standards scheme.

It's encouraging consumers who have received top-notch service to vote for their Garage of the Year before April 1.

Chris Mason, Motor Codes boss, said: The competition will show people where to go for first-class, OFT-approved service.

By nominating your garage, you help others choose a reliable business with confidence, cutting out the cowboys.

Around 6500 main dealer and independent garages are members of the Motor Codes scheme, and they are all required to operate a complaints procedure and inform customers of an independent helpline.

Motor Codes reported 10,000 calls to its advice line last year, with around 700 of these requiring formal intervention from Motor Codes conciliation and arbitration service.
