Volkswagen is replacing its Passat SE model with a new variant, the Highline.
The Highline will feature more standard equipment than the SE, including leather upholstery in place of cloth, heated front seats and four carpet mats. It will also be fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels rather than 16-inch wheels.

VW says the additional kit is worth 2125, but it will charge a premium of just 250 over the outgoing SE models in both saloon and estate forms.
In addition, the Passat is now available with a 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine, linked to a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox.
