The Volkswagen Up city car will cost from 7995, VW has confirmed.
The Up comes with a choice of two petrol engines and three trims.
The entry-level Take Up has a 59bhp, 1.0-litre petrol engine, body-coloured bumpers, daytime running lights, a CD player with aux-in and 14-inch steel wheels.
The mid-spec Move Up costs from 8970 and like the entry-level version, it comes fitted with the 59bhp engine. It gets remote central locking, air-conditioning, electric front windows, a height-adjustable driver's seat and 60:40 split/fold rear seats.
For an additional 360, buyers can opt for a Bluemotion version of the Move Up. This adds an engine stop-start system, battery regeneration and low-rolling-resistance tyres, which help cut emissions to just 97g/km of CO2 making it exempt from paying road tax or the London Congestion Charge. Average economy is improved from 62.7mpg to 67.2mpg.
High Up is the top-spec model and costs 10,390. It comes with the 74bhp version of the 1.0-litre petrol engine, which emits 108g/km of CO2, while average economy is 60.1mpg.
The High Up also gets heated front seats and leather on the steering wheel, gearstick and handbrake. It also comes with electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors, front foglights and 15-inch alloys. VW's Maps and More infotainment device is standard, too.
There are two further variations of the High Up: the Up Black and Up White special editions, which both cost 11,180. As well as the kit from the High Up, the cars get a special black or white paint scheme, chrome mirror caps and door strips, along with 16-inch alloys.
Volkswagen is taking orders for the Up now, with deliveries expected in the spring.
