What about performance and range?
* New 'EV' to be revealed in August * On sale 2011 * Priced similar to fossil-fuelled car...
What sort of performance and range does it have?
Nissan's first EV will be driven by a 110bhp electric motor powered by a 24 kilowatt-hour battery pack.
Acceleration from 0-60mph will be about the same as for a petrol car with similar power, but the top speed will be lower around 90mph.
The car will be able to do around 100 miles on a full charge, based on the official EU fuel consumption tests.
