The Tesla Model 3 is good to drive, packed full of tech and even reasonably practical. It’s also competitively priced and well equipped, and when you factor in its long range and Tesla's world-beating charging infrastructure, it's a brilliant choice. There’s nothing wrong with settling for the entry-level RWD, but we reckon it’s worth upgrading to the Premium Long Range RWD.
The trim
Other than an upgraded 17-speaker (instead of 14) sound system, there’s no equipment difference between the Long Range and the entry-level RWD version.
The engine
The Long Range RWD has the longest range of any Model 3 – an impressive 436 miles. You won't get that far in real-world driving, but it's definitely the Model 3 to choose if you regularly need to make trips of more than 300 miles.
