What used Vauxhall Mokka X hatchback will I get for my budget?

Prices for a 2016 Mokka X with the 1.6-litre diesel engine in Design Nav trim start at around £11,000 – a substantial saving on the new price. This would be for a low-mileage car in good condition and with a full service history, bought from a franchised dealer. You could spend a bit more, say between £12,000 and £15,000, and end up with a very clean 2016/2017 car with a low mileage from a franchised dealer.

How much does it cost to run a Vauxhall Mokka X hatchback?

The most economical version of the Mokka X is the 108bhp 1.6-litre CDTi 110 Ecotec diesel. This has an official claimed average fuel consumption of 72.4mpg, linked to CO2 emissions of just 103g/km. Not far behind is the regular 1.6 CDTi diesel in 136bhp output that has a claimed average of 68.9mpg in its front-wheel drive forms. The best-performing petrol engine is the 1.4T 140 Ecotec, which has a claimed average of 47.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 140g/km.

Road tax for all Mokka Xs registered after April 2017 will be the same flat rate, while those registered before will vary slightly depending on CO2 output, although tax will be low for all models.

Insurance groups range from a lowly 8 up to 16 for the higher-powered diesel models.

Servicing costs for most Vauxhalls tend to be reasonable, and the brand offers a number of servicing plans to suit your needs as the car grows older.
