2017 Ford Fiesta Vignale review - verdict

Is the idea of a Fiesta with a list price of more than £20,000 really so ludicruous? With its high-quality materials, classy ambience and extensive kit list, the Vignale comes closer than you might expect to justifying its price tag and challenging the likes of Audi and Mini at the premium end of the small hatch class.

It always helps that the Fiesta is better to drive and more practical than either of those rivals, of course, although that’s undermined somewhat by the fact that monthly payments on a Vignale will be significantly higher than those of a high-spec A1 if you buy on a PCP finance deal.

The Fiesta still represents the best value for money further down the range, though, so we can’t recommend the Vignale when you can get a superb 1.0T 100PS Zetec for at least £5000 less. Nevertheless, in Vignale form, the Fiesta has never looked so elegant.
