Be the first to see the new Jaguar XE

What Car? is offering readers the chance to get an exclusive first-look at the new Jaguar XE in central London.

The private preview will take place on Tuesday, November 18 from 2-4.30pm.

Jaguar says the XE features cutting-edge chassis, engine and in-cabin technology, and they hope it will propel them from popular but small-scale car maker to global powerhouse, rivalling their premium German counterparts.

There is plenty of competition in the executive saloon class provided by, among others, the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The XE is on sale now and prices start from £26,995 for the entry-level petrol version, climbing to £44,870 for the range-topping Performance S model. The range includes Jaguar’s all-new turbocharged four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines that they claim will deliver class-leading fuel economy, refinement and performance.

Inside, a new infotainment system is operated by using a central 8.0 inch touch-screen or voice control functions, while top-trim models feature a luxurious aluminium finish as well as bi-xenon headlamps.

The order books are open but cars won't appear in showrooms until the spring, so this is an exclusive opportunity to be among the first to see it in the UK.

Will the XE better its German rivals? Judge for yourself at the preview; your comments will appear in What Car? magazine and online at whatcar.com.
