Best Skodas for company car tax 2021

Time for a new company car? If you're thinking of going for a Skoda, check out our top picks for business drivers...

Skoda Enyaq iV front studio

There's never been a better time to choose a Skoda as a company car. With electric cars and plug-in hybrids in the range, along with a choice of highly efficient petrol and diesel models, there's a Skoda to suit the needs of most business drivers.

While the electrified models have the most affordable tax bills, keen pricing means most Skodas tend to have low P11D values compared with their competition.

We've chosen our five favourite Skodas for company car drivers, and our recommended version from within those model ranges. In each case, we've calculated the monthly tax bill for 40% taxpayers.

5. Skoda Scala

Skoda Scala front - red

Best model 1.0 TSI 110 SE | What Car? rating 5/5 | CO2 emissions 120-146g/km | P11D price £19,025 | Monthly BIK tax rate 2021/22 @40% £177.57

For company car drivers and private buyers alike, the Skoda Scala is superb value, hence its accolade as the best family car for value in our latest awards. Keen prices and a range of fuel-sipping petrol and diesel engines make the Scala a very tax-efficient choice. We'd go for SE trim, which strikes the best balance between high levels of equipment and a low P11D value. The 1.0 TSI 110 engine is lively and relatively clean.

Skoda Kamiq front panning - blue 69-plate car

Best model 1.0 TSI 95 SE | What Car? rating 5/5 | CO2 emissions 129-149g/km | P11D price £19,615 | Monthly BIK tax rate 2021/22 @40% £189.61

The Skoda Kamiq is a class act. We voted it the most practical small SUV 2021 because it's roomier and more practical than most rivals, with a standard of finish that belies its affordable pricing. Whichever Kamiq you choose, the ride is comfortable and all the engines perform well. For low benefit-in-kind tax bills, we'd choose the 1.0 TSI in SE spec. Expect to pay less than £200 a month in tax during the 2021/22 tax year if you're a 40% taxpayer.

3. Skoda Superb

Skoda Superb iV

Best model Superb 1.4 TSI iV SE L DSG | What Car? rating 5/5 | CO2 emissions 25-40g/km | P11D price £36,475 | Monthly BIK tax rate 2021/22 @40% £133.74

Don't bother looking for a more spacious family car than the Superb; you won't find one. In fact, plenty of bigger and more expensive cars can't match the Skoda for leg room and luggage space. What's more, the Superb is now available as a plug-in hybrid, and that's the model we'd recommend to company car drivers. With its low CO2 emissions and healthy all-electric range, it sits in the 11% tax band for 2021/22.

The updated Octavia has sharper looks, uprated infotainment and a premium feel to the interior. It's one of the roomiest cars in its class and its boot is huge. The brilliant new Octavia iV plug-in hybrid – our favourite plug-in model of 2021 – combines all the strengths of the petrol and diesel models with low emissions, an impressive all-electric range and bargain-basement tax bills.

Skoda's first all-electric car is a great choice for a company car driver. With no exhaust emissions, the Enyaq sits in the 1% tax band for 2021/22, rising to 2% in 2022/23. Few cars put such a tiny dent in your monthly pay packet. The Enyaq is one of the most capable of the new wave of electric vehicles, with an excellent range of 333 miles and lots of space for people and luggage.
