Best used city cars for less than £2000 (and the ones to avoid)
1. Hyundai i10
Modern city cars need to be able to do more than just be able to slot into tight parking spaces; they also need to be well equipped and suitable for an occasional jaunt on the motorway. The Hyundai i10 is ideal in this regard, because not only is it easy to drive in the cut and thrust of town traffic, but it also gets all the basics you're likely to need, as well as some of the luxuries you'd expect of something much larger (particularly top-spec Style models, which get heated front seats). Plus, if you go for the more powerful 1.2 petrol, it has the performance to go with the flow in the outside lane.
For the money, there is no finer city car than the Hyundai i10.

It drives okay, but the Matiz’s horribly cheap, cramped and dated interior makes it undesirable, and it isn’t even all that cheap to buy when compared with some of the other cars on this list.

The city car of your nightmares. The Cityrover is noisy, uncomfortable, nasty inside and deeply unpleasant to drive. Steer well clear.
