Chevrolet launches five-year warranty

Chevrolet has launched a five-year warranty and aftersales package on all of its new cars.

The package includes five years' warranty, servicing and breakdown assistance, as well as five years of MoT protection, which will cover the cost of any work, up to the value of 750 per claim, that is required to pass the check.

Chevrolet MD Mark Terry said: 'Other makers have offered long warranties, but never with the same level of back-up. We're so confident in the quality of our products that we're prepared to underwrite our reputation with such a comprehensive, all-encompassing package.'

Chevrolet's decision to extend its warranty follows hot on the heels of Toyota's move to five-year coverage. Hyundai also offers a five-year plan, while Kia leads the way with a seven-year warranty.
