27 July 2021 – A walk in the park

Every chance I get, I’ve been jumping into my e-C4 and heading off to the Surrey Hills to go walking – a round trip of about 50 miles. I particularly enjoy these relatively short out-of-town runs, because I don't have to worry about range – assuming I’ve started with a recently replenished battery. And with the e-C4 being electric and therefore not producing any harmful emissions en route, my eco conscience is clear.

Citroen e-C4 long term

Against all expectations, I’ve found myself switching to Sport driving mode on some of the country roads I cover along the way, because it makes the e-C4 feel really brisk and lively. When my car first arrived, I seem to remember describing its performance as “perfectly adequate”, but that was doing it a disservice; it’s more than strong enough for an ‘opposite of sporty’ car like this. It’s probably just my imagination, but my car feels like it’s getting quicker, too.
