Deal of the Day: Lease a Ford Puma from £226 per month

The Ford Puma is one of the UK’s favourite cars, and you could save a packet on one with our leasing deals...

There’s a lot to like about the Ford Puma; it’s fun to drive, easy to live with and it’s a former What Car? Car of the Year. But we’re not the only ones who like it so much – it’s also highly popular among car buyers, and consistently ranks among the top-sellers in the UK.

For those reasons, it might be high up on your list of potential new cars, and you’ll be pleased to know that you can get one for a keen price with our leasing deals.

Indeed, thanks to our deals, you could put a brand new Puma on your driveway for as little as £226 per month. To do that, you’ll need to sign up for a 48-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2709.60. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.

If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1696.32), which will cost £282.72 per month.

The Puma comes with two engine options: either with 123bhp or 153bhp. Both are assisted by 48-volt mild hybrid power, which should help lower your fuel bills and add an extra boost to the petrol engine.

Our Deal of the Day comes with our preferred entry-level 123bhp engine, which allows the Puma to sprint from 0-60mph quicker than rivals like the Nissan Juke and VW T-Roc. We find this version to have more than enough pace for most buyers, and it pulls nicely from low revs. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Where the Puma really stands out is its nimble handling. It’s one of the most entertaining small SUVs in its class, so whether you spend a lot of time on quicker roads or zipping around town, you’ll notice its impressive agility. Our Deal of the Day comes equipped with ST-Line X trim, which comes with sports suspension as standard, so that you can experience the Puma at its most entertaining.

Regardless of trim, every version of the Puma comes with adjustable lumbar support on the driver’s seat for added comfort. Standard front and rear parking sensors make up for the somewhat lacklustre visibility.

Inside, there’s a large 12.8in infotainment touchscreen with big virtual buttons that are easy to hit on the move. Unfortunately, you don’t get any physical climate controls, but ST-Line X trim does come with a wireless phone charging pad and a punchy 10-speaker sound system.

The Puma doesn’t fall short on boot space, with 456 litres when you lift up the boot floor. We managed to fit eight carry-on suitcases in the Puma when we tested it, which is more than what most rivals could swallow.

Range-topping ST-Line X trim comes with all the kit, including 18in alloy wheels, keyless entry, a powered tailgate, part-synthetic leather seats and adjustable lumbar support for the passenger’s seat.
