Deal of the Day: Lease a Skoda Superb Estate from £249 per month

The Skoda Superb Estate is our favourite estate car on the market, and you could lease one for a keen price with our deals...

Skoda Superb Estate front driving

If you’re in the market for an estate car, there’s no better option than the Skoda Superb Estate. In fact, we think this spacious offering is the best car of its kind on sale.

Indeed, earlier this year we named the Superb Estate our favourite estate car at our annual What Car? Awards, and it owes its excellence to its hugely spacious boot and interior, as well as its comfortable ride and generous standard kit. So, if that all sounds good to you, then you might be pleased to know that you could put a new one on your driveway for as little as £249 per month.

To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 24-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2976.75. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.

If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£2207.13), which will cost £367.86 per month.

There’s a version of the Superb Estate for everyone, with petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid options, but our Deal of the Day comes with a punchy 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine. With a 0-62mph time of 9.2sec, it has solid straight-line pace and pulls nicely from low revs. It’s the option to go for if you’re in need of a tow car.

Our Deal of the Day doesn’t come equipped with the Superb’s optional adaptive suspension system, which means you do feel lumps and bumps in the road more than in a Volkswagen Passat, but it’s not uncomfortable. Even in its softest setting, the Superb feels well controlled over uneven surfaces, and in sport mode, it has decent grip with not too much body lean. At slower speeds, its steering is light, making it a doddle to drive around town.

You shouldn’t have any issues getting comfortable inside the Superb, because all versions have plenty of steering wheel and seat adjustment. Our Deal of the Day comes with 14-way electrically adjustable seats as standard, including adjustable lumbar support, with extendable seat bases and a massage function.

Elsewhere inside, there’s a 10.3in digital driver’s display alongside a 13in infotainment touchscreen positioned high on the dashboard, featuring a built-in sat-nav, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a cooled wireless phone charging pad.

Usually though, if you’re in the market for an estate car, your top priority is space – and the Superb has it in abundance. There’s loads of room up front and in the back for passengers, with ample head and leg room for even six-footers to stretch out. We’d consider it one of the most spacious cars on sale today.

In terms of storage space, there’s plenty of cubbies inside the Superb for interior storage, as well as cupholders in the front and rear. Boot space measures at 690 litres, which beats the rival BMW 5 Series Touring, Mercedes E-Class Estate and Toyota Corolla Touring Sports.

Our Deal of the Day comes in mid-spec SE L trim, which comes equipped with 18in alloy wheels, ambient lighting, matrix LED headlights, keyless entry and a hands-free powered tailgate, on top of the standard heated front seats, three-zone climate control and privacy glass.
