Fresh Polo is mint
The new VW Polo is the fifth in a dynasty stretching back to 1975. Together, the previous four have racked up more than 10 million sales.

advertisment

The new car's styling echoes what VW has done with other recent introductions, like the Scirocco and Golf Mk VI, with a slender grille linking the front light units.

It's a conservative approach, but is probably exactly what buyers will want. Polos have always sold on their lack of ostentation and that they're regarded as a bit more 'premium' than superminis that are fashionable today and outmoded tomorrow.

The latest model does nothing to change that it's just like a scaled-down Golf.
