Kia shows design course at British show

Kia will show off no less than five concept cars at the British Motor Show next month.

Although none of the five is new, it's the first time they have been seen together, and it will let visitors see how Kia intends its cars to look in future.

The cars on show comprise the three versions of the Soul (Soul Burner, Soul Diva and Soul Searcher), which were first seen at the Geneva motor show in March as well as the four-seat Kee coupe and Ex-Cee'd convertible.

Paul Philpott, managing director of Kia, said: 'The Ex-Cee'd shows where we have got to, while the Kee coupe shows the way the company has started to think'.

'It is the first vehicle in which our design director Peter Schreyer has had a significant influence, although the project was already under way when he arrived at Kia. The car is also heavily influenced by Gregory Guillaume, our European chief designer.'

• The British Motor Show is based at the ExCel exhibition centre in London's Docklands and runs from July 23 to August 3. Come back then for all the latest from the show.
