Lexus LS prices and specs revealed

The face-lifted Lexus LS will cost from 71,995 for the LS460 Luxury, while the range-topping hybrid LS600h L Premier will be just shy of 100,000.

Three models of LS are available: the LS460 Luxury, LS460 F Sport and LS600h L Premier. All versions are available to order now.

LS460 Luxury and F Sport models are both powered by a 382bhp 4.6-litre V8 petrol engine.

The Luxury gets 18-inch alloys, automatic bi-xenon headlamps, and LED daytime running lights. Inside, there's leather upholstery, four-zone climate control and air-conditioned front seats (16-way electrically adjustable for the driver and 14-way for the passenger). There's also a 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio system with DVD player, DAB tuner, Bluetooth and USB/aux ports. The sat-nav features a 12.3-inch display.

LS460 F Sport adds 19-inch alloys, Brembo brakes, uprated suspension and a limited-slip differential. The exterior is embellished with a more aggressive-looking front grille and sports-style bumpers. The cabin gets a sporty makeover, too, with a dark finish, perforated leather seats, Lexus scuff plates, aluminium pedals and an aluminium-effect finish on the dashboard.

The hybrid LS600h L Premier's has a 5.0 litre V8 petrol engine and an electric motor, producing a total of 439bhp.

Additional kit for the hybrid includes the Lexus 'climate concierge' system, which uses infra-red sensors to monitor the facial temperature of the vehicle's occupants. It then adjusts the four-zone climate control, seat heaters/coolers and the heated steering wheel to provide individual occupants with the most comfortable temperature.

Rear passengers get electrically operated reclining seats, including electric footrests. The left-hand rear passenger seat also features a back massage system with remote control.

The LS600h L Premier is fitted with an advanced pre-crash safety system with collision-avoidance assist. It's designed to help the driver avoid an accident, or if the worst happens, minimise the impact with vehicles or pedestrians. It can operate across a wide range speeds, and in daylight or darkness. Lane-keep assist and blind-spot-monitor systems are also included in the standard specification.

The LS600h L Premier can be specified with a night-view system, which provides the driver with a view of hazards outside of the direct beam of the headlights.

Metallic or mica paint is an option across all models in the LS range.

The full LS range is available to order now, with deliveries from January.
