Nissan recalls 2.1 million cars

Nissan is recalling 2.1 million cars in a worldwide recall of its Cube, Micra and Tida models.

In the UK, 84,000 Micras built between January 2004 and March 2006 are potentially affected by the control module and ignition relay defects which can cause the cars to stall or fail to start. Work on the Micras will take 20 minutes and be conducted free of charge.

advertisment

Nissan says UK versions of the Cube are not affected and says it is not aware of any accidents caused by the potential fault.

Owners affected by the recall will be contacted by Nissan, but any owner can contact customer services on 01923 899334.
