Rolls-Royce reveals sketches of new car
* New model called RR4 * Engineering development underway * Due to be launched in 2010...
Rolls Royce has released sketches of its latest model.
Currently known as the RR4, the car will be smaller than the Phantom it will sit alongside when it's launched in 2010.
Engineering development for the RR4 is already underway, with Rolls-Royce's paint, wood and leather shops to be extended in order to accommodate it. It will also feature a new engine.
A two-shift system will also be set up at the companys Goodwood factory next year, when the RR4 goes into full production.
Chief designer Ian Cameron said: 'The RR4 has a more informal presence than the Phantom models, with a greater emphasis on driving. In design terms, this is expressed through its slightly smaller dimensions and more organic form, yet with powerful, purposeful proportions.'
Further details about the RR4 will be announced next year.
