The research, conducted by GM Fleet, showed that 30% of the 1000 women questioned wanted a sat-nav as standard, followed by 17% who sought an upgrade to their music system, with either an iPod or MP3 dock. Their third choice was climate control, which polled 15% of the vote.

Other top options included sunroofs, parking sensors and infotainment systems. However, the women felt less passionate about green issues, with fewer than 10% rating environmental concerns as a consideration when buying their car.

Investigation of their current vehicles revealed the must-have feature that ladies cant do without is music. The stereo polled 46% of votes.
