This is the Ford Ecosport, a Fiesta-based SUV that will be unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo later this week.
Ford says the Ecosport will have 'exceptional' fuel economy and will come with its new 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine. The car will have some off-road capabilities too, with Ford describing the Ecosport's ground clearance as 'competitive'.
The Ecosport has Ford's trapezoid grille and elongated headlights, which look similar to those of the new Ford Kuga, revealed at the LA motor show in November.
At the rear, the Ecosport has a spare wheel mounted on the swing-out tailgate.
The Ecosport is the latest model in the 'One Ford' strategy where Ford produces cars for global markets – the latest Ford Focus was the first vehicle built using this strategy.
The Ecosport is likely to go on sale in the UK within the next three years.
