Getting 62 Mpg, and I don't drive slowly. Handles superbly.
A few minor squeaks in cabin only fault.
I've had the car 1 month and have done 2100 miles, it drives really well my previous car had a sixth gear which I am missing a bit with the sweet engine, you can put it into 5th gear at 35mph and only on the steepest banks will it need a downchange, you can feel the lightness which makes it feel agile, and the ride is far better than the Corsa SXi I used to have, interior space is as good as i've seen in the class and of the cars I tested, the equipment levels are fantastic, my parents £25k car doesn't have the same level. My niggles are the lack of storage space, the door pockets are useless, although the glovebox is large, fuel economy on the motorway drops from over 60mpg to at 75mph around 52-54mpg, if you do lots of motorway trips it is not the car for you, the furl tank is small, and the rear wash wipe is badly positioned so it doesn't wash the screen.
Overall whilst I wasn't sure when I bought it, the car has grown on me, and so I will give updates after the 1st service and after a year and 25,000 miles.
Just picked up my Mazda 2 1.5 Sport Petrol the other day, and am completely in love with it. The engine pulls very well, and is extremely refined and quiet at low speeds. Put your foot down and the car takes off. The fact that Mazda stripped 100kg off the weight of this car means that it is extremely eager and fast. 0-60 in 10.5 seconds. Even in this time, the ride is very smooth. The weight (or lack thereof) also makes it very frugal and fuel efficient. Having said that, the fuel tank is quite small, which means less money to fill it up, but you have to fill it more often. The gearbox has to be one of my favourite features of this car. The ratios are perfect, and the shift is very quick and short, which really adds to this cars sporty feel. The suspension is firm, but not bone-rattlingly so, you feel bumps, but it is still comfy. In practicality terms, the Mazda is quite good! The boot is a good size for that shopping, and there is plenty of space in the back for 2 adults, or 3 children. The standard equipment in this car is amazing, cruise control, climate control, automatic headlights and wipers, trip computer, auxiliary input into the stereo, which itself has 6 speakers. You cannot fault the equipment on this car. Inside, everything is built very well, and feels very durable. Maybe not the nicest plastics to touch, but you can tell that they will stand the test of time! This car really beats its rivals in price, reliability and equipment. Why buy anything else?
I have just done over 14,000 miles in my Mazda 2 TS (ac) within the last 9 months and I think it is an excellent car. The car is super to drive, comfortable and fun on all roads. Furthermore, the Mazda 2 is extremely frugal (I average about 60 mpg) on the motorway and it is excellent fun on country lanes, whilst luxurious and practical for just going from A to B. I can’t praise the car enough it is just a super little car and I really would recommend it to anyone. Moreover, the car feels solid, reliable and very well made in all respects and I have had no problems with it yet. The only negative I would give the car is that it can be a little hard when going over big bumps at speed but this is more than compensated for by the drive and the fact that the car feels stable and glued to the road at all times. I am completely sold, satisfied and happy with my Mazda 2 and I think it looks really cool inside and out.
I have the standard take up model which I love as I'm 18 with a brand new car. This car is perfect in many ways as I can afford it by only working…
I bought this car a year ago after watching the video on here, and reading a few reviews on the car. My wife really liked the car so we bought it.…
