Used Mini Cooper Electric 2024-present reliability review

The Mini Cooper Electric is stylish and fun to drive, but it’s let down by a firm ride and a cramped interior. Used prices for a nearly new car are tempting, though

What should I look for in a used MINI Electric Cooper?

When viewing a used car, always follow our used car buying checklist.

At the time of writing, there are no major areas of concern to look at with a used Mini Cooper Electric. However, we’d advise checking the infotainment system to make sure it’s working correctly, with no glitches or lag when you use it. Be sure to check the interior for any signs of wear and tear, too. Likewise with the exterior and wheels for scratches and scuffs.

The Cooper Electric hasn’t been on the market long enough to appear in the What Car? Reliability Survey, and since it sits on brand-new underpinnings, there’s no track record from related models to draw on either.

That said, Mini as a brand ranked first among 31 carmakers in our car brand reliability league table, which should give buyers plenty of reassurance.
