Deal of the Day: Lease a Hyundai i20 from £194 per month
The Hyundai i20 is a peppy small car with surprising amounts of space, and you could lease one for a keen price with our deals...

While small cars aren’t quite as popular as they used to be, there’s still a huge market for them and, as a result, there’s plenty of examples to choose from. One of these is the Hyundai i20, a solid all-rounder which has recently been treated to a mid-life facelift.
Indeed the i20 underwent some subtle exterior changes towards the end of last year, but it retained some of its best qualities, including its roomy interior, economical engines and host of standard equipment. So, if that all sounds good to you, then you might be pleased to know that you could put a new i20 on your driveway from just £194 per month thanks to our leasing deals.
To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 36-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2316.48. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.
If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1440.24), which will cost £240.04 per month.

Hyundai has kept things simple with the i20’s engine lineup, with just one option: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that pumps out 99bhp. It’s peppy at high revs and it whisks you up to motorway speeds quicker than an equivalent Renault Clio.
Our Deal of the Day comes with the i20’s six-speed manual gearbox (as opposed to the seven-speed automatic), which is not quite as slick as the one in the Seat Ibiza, but it’s easy and satisfying enough.

If you’re looking for driving fun, you’d be better off with an i20 than a Skoda Fabia or Volkswagen Polo. The i20’s firm suspension and sharp steering help to create good agility and rein in body lean.
You shouldn’t have much to complain about while you’re sitting in the driver’s seat of the i20. The seat, pedals and steering wheel line up nicely and there’s plenty of space in the footwell. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that there’s no lumbar adjustment, even as an option.
There’s a driver’s display behind the wheel that offers clear graphics, but it’s a bit utilitarian – it isn’t very customisable and cannot display things like a navigation map. On the plus side, you do get physical controls for air conditioning, so it’s easy to adjust on the move.
Every i20 comes with a 10.3in infotainment touchscreen, which comes with plenty of standard equipment, including DAB radio, Bluetooth, a built-in sat-nav and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring.
For a small car, space inside the i20 is surprisingly impressive. It’s reasonably wide up front with plenty of head and leg room, and two six-footers shouldn’t have any issues getting comfy in the back.
Having removed its previous mild hybrid tech, the i20 gets more boot space than before, with 352 litres. That’s a close match for the Ibiza and Polo.
Being a small SUV, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the Kona doesn’t skimp on interior space. Even six-footers will have no issues stretching out whether they’re in the front or rear.
Our Deal of the Day comes in range-topping N Line S trim, which is well-equipped with 17in alloy wheels, cruise control, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, parking sensors and a premium Bose sound system, as well as sporty styling inside and out.
