It’s no secret that we love the Skoda Karoq. Not only is it keenly priced against rivals, but it also offers plenty of kit and great driving characteristics. For those reasons, it consistently ranks highly among our list of the best small SUVs.

The Karoq comes with a choice of either petrol or diesel power, with petrol versions getting three engine options. Our favourite is the 148bhp 1.5-litre engine because it pulls reassuringly from low revs and is pleasantly responsive.
Opting for that engine in entry-level SE Drive guise will save you up to £4290, and you get a healthy amount of standard kit thrown in, including 17in alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a leather trimmed steering wheel and cruise control.
Or, for the biggest saving of up to £7655, you can opt for top-of-the-range SportLine Edition trim, which comes with 19in wheels, sport front seats, Matrix LED headlights and a panoramic glass roof.
If you spend a lot of time pootling around town, then the entry-level 1.0-litre engine might be the option for you. And when you kit it out with mid-spec SE L Edition trim, you can save up to £6640. You’ll be handsomely equipped, too, with 18in wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, keyless entry and start and extra parking aids, on top of all the standard equipment.
If you're covering enough miles to justify diesel power, then the 2.0 TDI 150 is your only option, and it comes equipped with four-wheel drive. Opting for our favourite SE L Edition trim will save you up to £4870, but if you want to splurge on range-topping SportLine Edition kit, our deals could save you up to £5000.
