Ford's 100 years in photos 13/52

Ford is celebrating 100 years in Britain by delving into its archive of photographs.

This week we see the lengths Ford had to go to in order to post updates on its progress in the Acropolis rally.

Although many of us can now sync our mobile phones with our cars, there weren't even landline telephone systems outside of Athens in 1991.

Instead, Ford had to lug its own heavy dish and associated paraphernalia into the hills and carefully align it with satellites to get its message out.
