If youre buying
Visit the car at the sellers address, or at the very least their place of work. Also make sure that theyre not just pretending to live or work there you should also get a landline number for the seller as well as a mobile one. Avoid car parks, industrial estates and remote locations its not safe, and an honest buyer shouldnt want to meet you there.

If youre selling
Arrange a time during daylight when you can meet the seller at your house and, if possible, try to have someone else present, too. Make sure you get their contact details and address that should ensure youre dealing with an honest buyer, and not someone trying to hide their identity.
