Suzuki calls it the Concept A-Star, but the likelihood is that we'll all call it the Alto when it goes on sale in the UK in March 2009.
It's a small five-door hatchback powered by a new 1.0-litre petrol engine, which emits less than 109g/km of carbon dioxide.
Suzuki promises that it will have sporty road manners and has targeted initial sales of 10,000 cars a year in the UK. Prices will start at about 6000.
Other cars on show
Suzuki is also showing off its Kizashi and Kizashi 2 concept cars in Geneva. The prototypes give clues to the Mondeo-sized challenger that the company is preparing to launch in late 2009 or early 2010.
Elsewhere on the stand, the Suzuki Splash, which is now on sale in the UK, sits alongside the marque's SX4 WRC World Rally Championship challenger.
