I went with my young son to look at a new BMW 5 Series. I asked a salesman if I could see a 530d SE. He looked at me and commented, 'you are aware how much they cost sir?' I replied that some Fords are worth more than some of his range and that I didn't like his tone. He said he wasn't meaning to cause offence.

Not surprisingly I went elsewhere for my car.
