Toyota offers five-year used warranty

Toyota has launched a new warranty scheme that covers approved used cars for up to five years.
Customers buying a Toyota Approved Used Car with up to 150,000 miles on the clock will be given a 12-month Toyota-backed warranty, with the possibility of extending it to a maximum of five years.
Buyers of cars less than five years old can top up the warranty with an additional four years' cover, while an extra two years' protection can be bought for cars between five and eight years old.
Toyota will also give customers the option of spreading the cost of additional cover over a period of up to four years, depending on the age and condition of the vehicle.
The terms of the Toyota Approved Used Car Warranty mean that any covered part that fails will be fixed at an official Toyota service centre, using genuine manufacturer parts. Owners will not be charged for parts or labour.
The warranty includes MoT test cover, and can be upgraded to add roadside assistance through membership of Club Toyota.
