What Car? launches new van tax calculator

Our brand new van tax calculator lets you quickly and easily check the financial implications of running virtually every new van available in the UK...

If you're new to the world of vans, understanding the rules and regulations that apply to commercial vehicles can be a little daunting, which is why we’ve created a straightforward company van tax calculator

You simply select the make and model of the van you’re interested in and, hey presto, you’ll know exactly how much you’re going to have to pay in fuel benefit tax and vehicle benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax. If you don’t quite know what those are, don’t worry – we’ve also got an in-depth guide to commercial vehicle tax that you can access here

The van tax calculator will live on the homepage of our dedicated van channel. Sponsored by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, it has been created to support the UK’s estimated four million light commercial vehicle and pick-up drivers in the UK. You can see all of our latest van news, reviews and advice here.

Neil Winn, Hubs Editor of What Car?, said: "The process of choosing your next commercial vehicle is becoming increasingly complicated, especially with the enticing but rapidly fluctuating BIK rates of taxation on electrified vans. Factor in the current challenges faced by owners of small and medium-sized enterprises and we feel it is our responsibility to do everything we can to take the stress out of choosing and running a van.”
