Family SUV

We define a small SUV as a model measuring less than 4.3 metres long and a large SUV as measuring more than 4.5 metres – so family SUVs slot straight in the middle.
You won’t find too many serious off-roaders in this part of the market, because family-friendly practicality, comfort and running costs are what’s more important to buyers. Yet the best also combine decent performance and are laden with technology.
