Mini's Countryman crossover car will cost from £16,000 when it goes on sale in September.

Top-spec Cooper S models start at £20,810.

Three petrol and two diesel versions will be offered, while Countryman buyers will also be able to specify four-wheel-drive on the top-spec versions – a first for Mini.

All cars come with air-con, stability control, DAB digital radio, USB connection and six airbags.

The Countryman gets its motor show debut at the Geneva next month, ahead of its on-sale date of September 18.
