Kiall Garrett Q&A

What’s the best piece of advice you could offer a car buyer?

You can never look hard enough. There are a plethora of options whether you’re looking for something small or your family. Be open to all options and test drive lots of cars so you can get an idea of what the best ones are like and what to look for. Don’t just go with current trends as these cars are often a lot pricier and are not always best!

What’s the best car you’ve driven?

As someone who spends a lot of time transporting equipment and luggage, I personally love estates and really enjoy the BMW 3 Series Touring. It has a great driver focus while having an awesome interior and luggage space. Although there’s nothing quite like a Porsche 911, and while it's hard to nail down which is best, you're unlikely to be disappointed whichever you're lucky enough to choose.

What will the car market look like in 20 years?

Speaking as a non-expert who spends a lot of time in the car industry, it’s hard to predict that far into the future. But it’s also not hard to see the amount of investment from manufacturers in an EV future. We're still a fair way off from petrol and diesel car sales being banned in the UK, which may create some uncertainty, but it's going to be an interesting ride whatever happens.
