Used Kia EV6 reliability: the owners' view
In our latest Reliability Survey, Kia EV6 owners said they had a mixed experience with reliability and dealer support. Several owners praised the car’s dependability, with no faults reported even after multiple years of ownership. However, others experienced recurring issues, particularly with the infotainment system and 12V battery, the latter leading to warning lights and unexpected breakdowns.
Some drivers also noted faulty charging ports and glitches with the keyless entry system. While these weren’t always serious faults, they did require trips to the dealership for diagnosis and repair. Feedback on Kia’s dealer service was generally positive, with many reporting prompt and helpful responses. That said, a few owners found that dealers struggled to resolve electrical faults on the first visit, leading to repeat appointments.
Overall, the EV6 has shown reasonable reliability, but minor electrical issues and occasional dealer delays have frustrated some owners.
