2018 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S review – verdict
With a brawny 503bhp V8 under the bonnet, the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S is the fastest SUV we’ve ever tested...
Although the GLC 63 S isn’t cheap, it certainly has a lot going for it. Despite its performance focus, it’s refined and comfortable enough to use every day and proves spacious enough for the needs of most families.
But while it’s ridiculously rapid in a straight line, the most enthusiastic of drivers will find more pleasure at the limit in a Porsche Macan Turbo. Even so, this is a minor blot in the grand scheme of things, especially for a family wagon. If you’re in the market for a hot-rod SUV, we’d recommend trying the GLC 63 S. Just remember: if you have to ask what it’ll do to the gallon, this is not the SUV for you.
