Im tempted by the savings from online brokers, but Im nervous about using them. How can I protect myself against fraud?
The majority of brokers are honest, but youre right to be cautious.
Make sure that your deposit is sent to the supplying dealer, not held by the broker, and use a credit card for extra financial protection in case the broker goes bust.
If the broker wants a large amount of money up front, or even the full balance, use an escrow account that releases your money only once youre happy and given permission to do so.
