It would be easy to take one look at this Aston Martin DBX and write it off as a one-trick pony. After all, when it was launched, it was the most powerful sports SUV ever produced and Aston was keen to boast about it: ‘707’ refers to its metric horsepower output.
But the DBX 707’s magic is that it doesn’t just impress in a straight line. At motorway speeds, it’s hushed and delivers a plusher ride than a Lamborghini Urus, while it feels sharper and more entertaining on a country road than its disappointingly inert Italian rival.

We’d even say the 707 is the best GT car Aston Martin has ever produced; it’s not only spacious but also feels properly special inside. We’re talking top-quality materials, almost limitless personalisation options and a powerful 800-watt, 14-speaker audio system. With a near-£200k price tag, it isn’t cheap, but this side of a Gulfstream jet, we can’t think of a more luxurious yet entertaining way to travel.
