Deal of the Day: Lease a Hyundai Kona Electric from £245 per month

The Hyundai Kona Electric is a well-rounded electric SUV, and you could save a packet on one with our deals...

Electric SUVs account for one of the most competitive sectors of the market right now, which means there are plenty of good examples to choose from if you’re looking to buy one – and one of those examples is the Hyundai Kona Electric.

Indeed, not only does it offer an impressive electric range, but the Kona Electric is spacious for both passengers and luggage, and it’s very easy to get to grips with. So, if that all sounds good to you, then you might be pleased to hear that you can put a Kona Electric on your driveway for as little as £245 per month with our leasing deals.

To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 24-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2931.36. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.

If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1833.72), which will cost £305.62 per month.

A recent update streamlined the Kona Electric’s battery lineup to just one option: a 65.4kWh ‘Long Range’ unit. Its official 319-mile range is particularly impressive compared with rivals – indeed, the Kona Electric can travel further than all versions of the Jeep Avenger Electric, Peugeot e-3008 and Vauxhall Mokka Electric.

Power comes from a 215bhp electric motor driving the front wheels. It feels very capable, outpacing the e-2008 in our testing – but if you want something really punchy, it’s worth taking a look at the Smart #1

If you travel a lot around town, you’ll find the Kona Electric is perfectly suited to urban streets, with its light steering and comfortable soft suspension. And speaking of comfort, you also get adjustable lumbar support on every version as standard to keep you from getting stiff on long drives.

Inside, you get a 12.3in infotainment touchscreen complete with DAB radio, Bluetooth and sat-nav, plus wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. You shouldn’t have too many issues getting accustomed to the infotainment system, since it has a logical layout and responds quickly to your prods.

Our Deal of the Day comes with entry-level Advance trim, which gets plenty of kit as standard, including 17in alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and a heat pump.
