How the dealers were rated
This years What Car?/JD Power Customer Satisfaction Survey asked 16,301 car owners for their verdicts on the service they got from their dealers.
The overall star rating comprises ratings in five categories:
Service initiation Was it easy to book a car in for a service?
Service adviser Were staff courteous, knowledgeable and honest?
Dealer facilities Was the dealership clean and comfortable? Were opening times and locations convenient?
Picking up Were charges and details of work done fully explained? Was it easy to pay, and was the car cleaned before collection?
Service quality Could the dealership diagnose problems? Was service
or repair work done to a high quality and in time? Were parts readily available?
