The Nissan Qashqai, Audi A3, Hyundai i10, Volkswagen Golf and Ford Fiesta all have a couple of things in common. Not only did all of these cars score the maximum five stars in the What Car? road test, but they are all available with notable, four-figure discounts in this week's round-up of new-car deals.

The Audi A3 saving we've found this week comes courtesy of Orangewheels.co.uk, and is on the 1.6-litre diesel model in SE trim. This is the three-door model, and has a decent discount of Β£2422, taking the price down to Β£18,443.

If you fancy something a little larger, then a former What Car? Car of the Year winner, the Nissan Qashqai, can be bought with a Β£2843 saving thanks to Drivethedeal.com. The model in question is the 1.5dCi 110 in N-tec Plus trim, and makes the price Β£21,157.

The Hyundai i10 hasn't picked up the overall Car of the Year title, but has cleaned up in the City Car class for the past two years. This model is this precise version that has picked up the title, and is the 1.2-litre in Premium trim. Despite its small size, it comes with a decent Β£1319 saving on Carfile.net, making it cost Β£9541.

The Volkswagen Golf is a perennial favourite with buyers, and the Β£3029 saving on this estate version will win it a few more fans. A Β£22,021 outlay will buy you a GT version with the 2.0-litre 150 diesel engine. Head to Drivethedeal.com for more information on this one.

Finally, the Ford Fiesta is consistently one of the biggest selling cars in the UK, and there is every chance that this deal will secure a few more sales. If you head to Drivethedeal.com then you can get Β£2498 off the five-door 1.5 TDCi 75 Style model, taking the price down to Β£11,947.
