Staying calm
Taking the car on holiday can be a stressful experience.
A survey by the Civil Service Motoring Association (CSMA) found that almost 45% of men and 49% of women shouted at their passengers when stress got the better of them.
One in five said they had to stop the car to recover their composure.
One in 10 committed a traffic offence when they got agitated.
Alarmingly, 1% of drivers said they had deliberately driven into another vehicle out of anger.
However, all it needs is a little planning to take the strain out of driving.
