An electric car is one that runs purely on battery power and has no exhaust pipe to puff out nasty chemicals.

The best of the breed offer sufficient range between charges to fit in with most people’s lifestyles – and in the real world, not on some far-fetched official test cycle. Moreover, we prefer EVs with fast charge times, but they have to do all the things any other car should: be comfortable, spacious, smooth and good to drive.
