    My car

Have owned the car from new for 5 months. This car is superb in almost every aspect. It looks great from every angle, the interior is space-age yet practical and the cabin space is excellent for a car of this size and is opened up by virtue of the panoramic roof. The boot is enormous also. On the road the performance never disappoints and it handles extremely well. Being a sporty design the ride is firm but not intrusive. Fuel economy is good at 42 mpg average. Yes it would be better with a rear wash wiper, but it's not a problem. The instuments and controls are so different to any other car I've seen but are very easy to use and very well thought out. Build quality is brilliant with no squeaks or rattles.

Overall, I love this car. It was very good value for money and impresses every time I drive it. Well done Honda for designing something different.

    My car

I got one in April 08 and it has been great. A bit squeeky at times but no problems at all. I do 100 miles a day and get about 44/45 to the gallon. Engine is great, loads of torque, spins in third gear if you try hard enough with the VSP off. Handles very well, ride is stiff but comfortable. Loads of room in the back too. People complain about the view out the back, it's fine with big wing mirrors and it gets rid of the glare from those idiots who tailgate you on the motorway.

    My car

The car is now just over 2 years old, I bought it at 6 months old as a demonstrator.

Constant knocking from rear suspension first thing in the mornings has never been solved. Several visits to dealership just resulted in being copied in on an email that Honda were awaiting a fix from their parts supplier. That was over 8 months ago.

Ride is harsh, you really do feel every bump and pothole. Long jouneys have proved uncomfortaqble for both myself and my wife. I am attributing back pain to the hard ride.

Lots of rattles in the cabin, increasing all the time. This again is probably due to the hard ride quality. In jusr 2 years some aspects of the cabin have worn badly too, silver paint has worn off the gear knob and the steering wheel. Silver trim scatches very easily on the door panels too.

Overall, a great looking car, but sad to see it go for this reason only. Poor ride and questionable build quality of suapension and some cabin materials.

18 months ago it was my dream car, and I had intended to keep it for 5 or 6 years. 9000 uncomfortable miles mean it is being traded in for a VW today.

    My car

Purchased 4 months ago after running a Leon TDI FR. The Honda has proved more solidly built, a little more economical and at least as much fun. The 2.2 diesel is superb and there are no rattles.

The rear windscreen visibility is a common complaint but not so bad. The only downside is the notchy box. In summary, a sound buy.
