2019 Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition verdict
The Ronseal of limited-run specials, the Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition celebrates 30 years of the world's best selling sports car. But is it worth the money?...
In addition to its long list of infotainment tech, the Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition comes with all the other toys found on the well equipped Sport Nav+ model. However, at £28,095 for the soft-top and £29,895 for the RF, the special edition car attracts a £3000 premium.
If you’re an MX-5 enthusiast, then you probably won’t bat an eyelid at that figure; about half of the 30th Anniversary Editions have already been sold. But for anyone else, it doesn’t look like especially good value.
Our advice would be to go for the standard car, because it’s a terrific and very reasonably priced two-seater, regardless of the spec – or colour – you choose.
