Best convertible for big spenders

Lexus LC Convertible 500

If money were no object, you’d want a convertible that looks like nothing else on the road and causes jaws to drop as you drive by. Like the Lexus LC Convertible, in fact.

Believe it or not, though, eye-catching looks aren’t the LC’s biggest draw. That accolade is reserved for its interior, whose curving, swooping design is further enhanced by the gorgeous, high-quality materials with which it’s trimmed.

The LC’s beauty isn’t only skin deep, either. This is a truly delightful car to drive, with a powerful V8 engine that makes a terrific noise, whether you’re revving it out on the open road or just burbling around town.

At the same time, there’s next to no road or wind noise. Yet when you do give it its head, the LC transforms from a tranquil grand tourer into something that feels more playful than four-wheel-drive rivals such as the Bentley Continental GT and BMW 8 Series convertibles.

This, then, is a convertible that offers you luxury, drama and everyday usability, all wrapped up in one unspeakably glamorous package. One to stick on the lottery win list.
