Deal of the Day: Lease a Volkswagen T-Roc from £235 per month

If you’re in the market for a new small SUV, then you can’t go far wrong with the Volkswagen T-Roc. This stylish offering is, in our opinion, the best car of its kind on sale.
Indeed, we recently named the T-Roc our favourite small SUV at our annual What Car? Awards, thanks to its spacious interior, comfortable ride and impressive practicality. So, if that all sounds good to you, then you might be pleased to know that you could put a new one on your driveway for as little as £235 per month.
To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 24-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2819.64. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.
If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£2016.83), which will cost £336.14 per month.

At the moment, the T-Roc is only available with mild hybrid power, and our Deal of the Day comes with the mid-spec 1.5-litre petrol engine, offering 148bhp. Its additional punch and sprightly acceleration compared with the less powerful engine and rivals like the Lexus LBX make it our favourite option.
Since its inception, the T-Roc has been one of the most comfortable small SUVs around, and the same is true for the latest variant. It soaks up lumps and bumps in the road well, especially on the 17in wheels that come as standard on our Deal of the Day.
Even in entry-level Life trim, the T-Roc feels well screwed together inside, with a mix of materials including padded fabric across the dashboard and doors. There are some harsher plastics lower down, but overall it feels more premium than rivals like the Ford Puma or Renault Captur.
SUV fans will appreciate the T-Roc’s lofty driving position, plus there’s plenty of adjustment for the steering wheel and driver’s seat for you to get comfortable. Elsewhere inside, there’s a 12.9in infotainment touchscreen alongside a 10in digital driver’s display behind the wheel, which come with clear graphics, but there are some convoluted sub-menus to sift through. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come as standard.
Being a small SUV, the T-Roc offers plenty of space for both front and rear passengers, and plenty of storage space up front. At 475 litres, its boot space is bigger than average; we managed to fit seven carry-on suitcases below the tonneau cover.
